FAQs

Why invest in air conditioning servicing equipment?

With so many modern vehicles now being fitted with air conditioning, regas and maintenance services can be a lucrative addition to your repertoire of services – particularly during the warmer months

How often should air conditioning systems be serviced?

Most manufacturers recommend servicing air conditioning systems every couple of years, though many motorists tend to skip these services to the detriment of their vehicle’s fuel efficiency.

What is the difference between R134a and R1234yf air conditioning gas?

As of 2017, R1234yf is the most commonly used type of refrigerant gas on new vehicles, replacing R134a. It’s favoured due to its reduced environmental impact; if the newer type of gas is released into the atmosphere, it will take just 11 days to dissipate. The older gas can linger in the air for as long as 13 years!
